Summary: Update Word 2003 – find security updates and new features.
For security reasons, plus to see if new features are available, you should periodically update your Microsoft Office applications, such as Microsoft Word 2003. In case you forget to visit the Office Update site via Internet Explorer, just select “Help” – “Check for Updates” from within the software.
Your web browser will open to Office Update. From here, just click “Check for Microsoft Updates” underneath “Office Updates” to see what is available. You may also want to click “Office Update: Get additional Office updates”.
If you have reset your default browser to Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Netscape, etc., you must copy the URL and paste it into an Internet Explorer window to be able to install Office (and Word) updates from within a browser.
