Microsoft Word 2003 lets you save your document as a web page (choose “File” – “Save As”, then next to “Save As Type”, choose one of the webpage options). This way, you can easily publish Word documents on the Internet without having to convert them to PDF format or require end users to download the Microsoft Word Viewer plug-in.
However, Word documents converted to HTML will not retain all of their special formatting characteristics. Therefore, you may wish to see how your document would look as a web page before you publish it on a website. To do so, just open your document and choose “File” – “Web Page Preview”. Internet Explorer will open a preview of how your Word document would look on the web.
