Summary: Diagnose Word 2003 page layout issues by viewing thumbnails.
While the print preview mode can show small versions of your Microsoft Word 2003 document pages onscreen, it is impossible to edit text while previewing your document.
If you need to see thumbnails of your document onscreen while editing, so that edited changes are automatically reflected in the thumbnails, choose “View” and select “Thumbnails”. Thumbnail versions of your document will appear in a new pane to the left of your current document. Click on a thumbnail page and Word 2003 will automatically jump to the selected page. If you wish, you can resize the slider bar between the thumbnails and your document to show even more pages onscreen simultaneously.
