Configure Excel’s Options

Summary: How to customize the Microsoft Excel 2007 spreadsheet.

Configuring previous versions of Microsoft Excel required accessing the “Tools” menu and selecting “Options”. Microsoft Excel 2007 has a new interface, including the Ribbon, and a new way of modifying configuration options:

1. Click the “Office” button at the top-left of Microsoft Excel.
2. Click “Excel Options” at the bottom-right of the menu.

Accessing Microsoft Excel 2007’s Options

The “Excel Options” dialog appears, allowing you to configure the following groups of options by clicking on categories in the left pane:

* Save
* Advanced
* Customize
* Add-Ins
* Trust Center
* Resources
