Microsoft Word 2003 Characters and Symbols - Adding Copyright, Trademark, Registered Trademark Symbols

This tip is for Microsoft Word 2003.

For the Microsoft Word 2007 version of this tip, visit Insert Copyright, Trademark, Other Symbols - Microsoft Word 2007

Microsoft Word 2003's AutoCorrect feature can be a pain at times, but in other instances it can be quite helpful. Take copyrights and trademarks for example. As long as AutoCorrect is turned on, just typing (c), (r), or (tm) in your document should result in a copyright symbol, registered trademark, and trademark symbol being displayed, respectively.

If this doesn't work, try the following keyboard shortcuts:

Copyright symbol: ALT-CONTROL-C
Trademark symbol: ALT-CONTROL-T
Registered Trademark Symbol: ALT-CONTROL-R

Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Microsoft Word 2003 Characters and Symbols - Adding Copyright, Trademark, Registered Trademark Symbols.
