Microsoft Word 2003 Miscellaneous - Stop Hyperlinking Web Address URLs

Normally, when you enter a web address or network address in Microsoft Word 2003, such as an URL (http://www.malektips.com), Word automatically turns the address into a clickable hyperlink. If you'd rather this not happen, do the following:

1. Click "Tools", selecting "AutoCorrect Options".
2. When the "AutoCorrect Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "AutoFormat" tab.
3. Uncheck "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks".
4. Select the "AutoFormat As You Type" tab.
5. Uncheck "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks".
6. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.

Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Microsoft Word 2003 Miscellaneous - Stop Hyperlinking Web Address URLs.
