Toggle Row and Column Headings

Summary: Add more room for your Excel 2007 spreadsheets onscreen by disabling row and column headings.

By default, when editing Microsoft Excel 2007 spreadsheets, row and column headings are displayed above and to the left of cells. This helps in organizing your information as well as providing easy-to-see references when creating formulas that require cell values as inputs.

These headings can be disabled, if desired, adding more room in the Excel 2007 window for editing or viewing spreadsheets.

To toggle this behavior:

1. Click the “View” tab in the Ribbon.

2. In the “Show/Hide” section, check or uncheck “Headings” as desired.
