Microsoft Word 2000 - Printing Draft Copies

Would you like to print draft copies of your working documents in progress? This may save your toner or ribbon, as you can print copies of your documents that may not look the greatest, but they are good enough for proofreading.

To print your document in draft mode, you normally have to navigate through several printer-specific menus. Not with Word 2000. Just click the "File" menu and choose "Print". On the "Print" dialog box that appears, click the "Options..." button on the bottom-left of the dialog box. In the dialog box that follows, under "Printing Options", check "Draft Output" and press "OK".

Make sure to uncheck this box whenever you want to print the final copy of your document!

Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Microsoft Word 2000 - Printing Draft Copies.
