Do you often share your Word documents among a group of people? Instead of underlining, bolding, or italicizing important lines of text, why not use the built-in highlight pen? Make sure the Formatting toolbar is visible. Click on the pen next to the "U" button to select the highlighting pen. Click the pull-down next to the pen to change the highlighting color (there are four colors). Now, any text you select while the pen is active becomes highlighted and easily distinguishable from the rest of the text.
Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then,
return to Microsoft Word 97 - Highlighting Text.
